More Than 3,000 Students Apply to Oklahoma City Public Charter Schools Through EnrollOKC Ahead of Feb. 13 Deadline

As the Feb. 13 priority application deadline approaches for public charter schools in Oklahoma City, more than 3,000 students who have never previously attended a charter school have already submitted applications for the 2026–27 school year through EnrollOKC.org.

Launched Dec. 1, the EnrollOKC common application marks the first time Oklahoma City families have access to a single, citywide application for public charter schools, representing a major shift in how families find and choose the best school for their child.

“EnrollOKC is changing the experience for families by putting students and families at the center of the enrollment process,” said Brent Bushey, CEO of Fuel OKC. “More than 3,000 students who have never previously attended a charter school have already applied, showing that families are eager for a simpler, clearer way to explore their options and access great public schools across Oklahoma City.”

EnrollOKC.org replaces a fragmented process that required families to navigate multiple applications, deadlines and requirements with a single, accessible pathway to high-quality public school options. Available in both English and Spanish, EnrollOKC.org serves as a one-stop platform to research and apply to public schools at no cost. For the 2026–27 school year, all Oklahoma City public charter schools are participating in the system.

The common application is the latest milestone in Fuel OKC’s ongoing work to provide families with clear, transparent school options and expand access to high-quality public education in Oklahoma City.

With the launch of the common application, families now complete one online form to select and rank the public charter schools that best meet their child’s needs. The platform provides step-by-step guidance and two bilingual parent navigators are available by phone and email to assist families throughout the process.

“When educational information is transparent and accessible, families of all backgrounds can make informed decisions that support their children’s success,” Bushey said.

For the 2026–27 school year, EnrollOKC brings together 12 charter school networks operating 32 public schools across the city. Charter schools are public, free to attend and open to all students, and the common application helps ensure that families can easily explore and access their options.

The EnrollOKC common application is now available at EnrollOKC.org. Families should apply by Feb. 13, 2026, to be considered during the priority enrollment window for the 2026–27 school year.
